I’m so excited to finally share the first completed room of our new home on the blog! You may seen the reveal on Instagram the other day, but you guys loved it so much I thought I would share a bit more here. There’s a whole lot of house coming up guys – but it’s going to take some time to get it all picture-perfect – so let’s focus in on this fun little space first.
Each time we move I like to get the kids spaces done first so they can feel settled and comfortable as soon as possible. While I am still working on my daughter’s room (as you may have seen in my IG Stories recently), I took on a quick little weekend project to get her ensuite bathroom in working order – and of course as cute as possible :)
We started with the mosaic tiles installed by our builder (supplied by Sarana Tile), and a pretty one-piece vanity (also from Sarana Tile) that had the look of a piece of furniture. From there, we picked up all of our hardware, floating shelf, and vanity light from Wayfair.ca which completed the bones of the room. Who else loves Wayfair? They literally have everything you could ever need!
Our entire house has very tall ceilings (11 feet on the main floor, and 10 feet on the second floor) which meant that an extra-long shower curtain was required for the bathtub in the ensuite. It’s actually quite a challenge to find a cute curtain that is long enough, but I found the perfect lavender one from Bed, Bath & Beyond with the cutest girly ruffles.
After that it was only decor that was left and of course I headed to Homesense to pick up all the accessories to complete the space. I linked some similar items to my Homesense finds above that available online.
Since we plan on staying in this house for a while I wanted the ensuite to be cute and girly but not too young so that it grows with my toddler. Cute little details make it fun, but it’s also sophisticated and grown up – I’d gladly use it anyday!
I also can’t help but talk about these towels from Anthropologie that I’m absolutely gaga over! Yes, they were a bit pricey, and yes, they are for “show” only (sorry Gemma), but they were a MUST HAVE as they tie in the colors of the room perfectly, and just wait until you see how they coordinate with the removable wallpaper going into the bedroom – it’s a match made in heaven!
Anyways, can’t wait to hear what you guys think of the little room. Leave a comment below and let me know :)
