Who else is always on the hunt for the classic white shirt? I know I am. Perfect for layering, tucking in, or just hanging loose – the classic white shirt is a closet staple that everyone needs – and it tends to be the first thing my eye goes to when I walk into a store.  And yet, no matter how many I find (thinking that I’ve hit the jackpot), I usually end up disappointed. That is until I found this one.

I was thrilled when Sumissura (online fashion customization brand), invited me to customize my very own shirt, specific to my measurements. Farewell to arms that are too long, shoulders that are too wide, and a boxy fit that is not in the least bit flattering to a petite frame. With numerous designs and an endless selection of fabrics, the shirt of my dreams was finally at my fingertips. So what did I design? Of course a classic white shirt, with a twist. I loved how I was even able to select coloured button holes to made the shirt truly my own. Hot pink thread it was!

Designing my shirt was simple and straightforward. After personalizing every detail (even adding a monogram), and making my fabric selection, I simply entered in my measurements and a 3D image was generated. I was even able to go back and forth to change a few details until I was totally happy with the final product. And happy I was when my shirt arrived and it fit like a glove. Perfect down to the last detail, I’m moving out all other mediocre white shirts from my closet and giving this new addition a special place to call its own.
