Just over two years ago I designed a dream nursery for my baby boy. Now that we have a second baby due in August, it’s time for the little guy to get a big-boy room of his own. When brainstorming which direction I would take, I struggled between woodsy neutrals and the bright, bold theme you see above. I decided on this eclectic theme because it was modern and fresh and very unlike the plethora of blues and reds you typically see in boys rooms. The above items are a mix between affordable pieces and higher-end inspirations. For more ideas in this color theme and style, be sure to check out my Pinterest “Toddler Room” Board, where I have curated over 145 different products and inspirations for a little boys room.
After much procrastination, I am happy to report that we have finally begun to make progress in the toddler room. The light fixture is installed and my hubby completed an amazing feature wall that I just can’t wait to share with you! The plan is to have the bed ready and set-up ASAP so we can begin training our little man to sleep in his new big-boy bed. The fact that he will be able to climb in and out himself is very daunting and worrisome to me…Anyone have suggestions on how to smoothly transition from crib to bed?
The colours are so cute! Cannot wait to see how this turns out!
Thanks!!
