The words, “It doesn’t fit”, are all too familiar for us petite girls. It can be quite the challenge to find really pretty clothes that are a really good fit. So when eShakti approached me about selecting one of their items and having it custom made to my measurements, I was immediately on board!  They carry sizes 0-36W and have a wide range of items on their site, but it was their dresses that really caught my attention. While it’s usually easier to find casual clothes in petite sizes, more dressier items are difficult to come by and so I knew I wanted to find a dress when searching through their product line. When I found this Floral Jaquard Piped Waist Dress I immediately knew this was the one, but I also love this, this and this, and will definitely be keeping my eye on them.

The ordering process couldn’t have been easier. You can either select a standard size (best for ladies 5’4″ to 5’7″), or you can input your custom measurements in their easy-to-use drop-down menu. An added bonus feature is that you can save your personal sizing information in your account for next time and have it ready for future purchases at the click of a button.

When my dress arrived I have to say I was more than impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. This dress was made from a very heavy jacquard fabric and it fit perfectly in all the right places. The skirt was very full (which I love) and the perfect lady-like length which flatters a petite frame. Just to add a little extra “oomph”, in the images above I wore a crinoline under the skirt of the dress to make it even more puffy – a full skirt can never be too puffy!

Now if this couldn’t get any better – from the day I placed my online (custom) order, to the day it arrived on my doorstep – was six (6) days! I placed the order on a Thursday and it arrived the following Wednesday! So you know what this means, right? The next time a last-minute event comes up and you need something really pretty and really fast, this has got to be your go-to shopping destination. And no matter how difficult it usually is to find clothing in your specific size, you can get a custom, made-to-measurement garment in no time at all, and at a reasonable price-point.
