With summer now in full swing, it’s only a matter of time before the calendar starts filling up with weddings, showers, parties and other events. I know my agenda is chock full of social gatherings straight through the warm-weather months, and “What to wear?” is the first question that comes to mind when the invitations start rolling in.

Are you ready to dress for the occasion? A few weeks ago I spent a lovely evening with the sweetest bloggeristas to share with you some Garden Party looks from Mapleview Centre. From the dresses to the setting, everything was reminiscent of a scene straight out of the Secret Garden, complete with tea-sipping from vintage china, umbrella twirling and lots of giggles.

When selecting my outfit from Mapleview Centre, I went for a very ethereal look, complete with blush tones, hints of gold, and the daintiest floral crown. I envisioned a very light-weight and breezy dress infused with just a hint of colour, so when I saw this little pink number from Banana Republic – it instantly made the cut! The dress is actually sleeveless with a racer-back detail, but for this occasion I wanted to infuse some ultra-feminine details and this perfect lace crop-top from FOREVER 21 sealed the deal.

No garden party is complete without floral crowns, so we decided to finish off our individual looks with this oh-so pretty summer accessory. I found my delicate pink and gold crown from Claire’s and love it’s simple, understated elegance.
