As I enter into week 31 of my pregnancy and clothes become more and more uncomfortable (and scarce), sometimes all I want to reach for in my closet is a stretchy dress with no restricting seams or bands. These days even the belly-bands on my maternity jeans are starting to make me feel claustrophobic. Now add to that the dilemma of having to get dressed for the office or a special event. What do you wear? Well, I scored this colourful little Nicole Miller dress from a Neiman Marcus Outlet back in April, and even though it’s not maternity wear per-se, it’s super comfortable, stretches in all the right places and the side ruching minimizes all unsightly bulges and bumps.

So for all of you ladies closing in on your last trimester and looking for a comfortable yet flattering dress, stretch and ruching are a must. Also, form-fitted dresses tend to fit on the smaller size, so don’t be afraid to size up one or two points to avoid the stretching and pulling that makes a dress anything but attractive.
