I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – if you’re not wearing high-waisted jeans yet, what are you waiting for? Especially if you’re petite and want to elongate the look of your legs, a great pair of high-waisted jeans draws the eye upward to the most narrow part of the body and gives the illusion of dreamy endless gams – and who doesn’t want that?

So if you think you’re finally ready to try them out, or just looking for your next favourite pair, you’ll want to check out the ones I’m wearing in today’s post from White House Black Market. I love the slight deconstruction, the cropped length, and of course the fact that since they reach all the way to the belly button – it keeps the tummy tucked with smooth, slim lines! Also the light wash of the denim is perfect for summer and just as stylish with a pretty blouse (as seen here), or with a tee and sneakers.

I paired the jeans with an off-the shoulder blouse (which has the prettiest embroidered detail), and a cropped cargo jacket with even more gold embroidery! I’m loving this casual chic look because it could easily transition from day to night with the addition of some bold jewelry, but is also the perfect weekend look that you’re going to want to wear all summer long!

I’m loving WHBM’s petite department (which is definitely one of my go-to’s), because they carry feminine and sophisticated styles that are great for petites of any age – and with lots of pattern and colour too – which I certainly can’t get enough of! Have you shopped at WHBM before?

PETITE FIT NOTES:
– I’m wearing the jeans and jacket in 00-Petite, and the top in XXS-Petite. For reference again, I am 4’11” and 90lbs and each of the pieces fit TTS. The jeans are super comfortable and keep their shape with wear (bonus points here), and I love love love how the jacket is actually cropped in all the places it’s suppose to be (length and sleeve). And the elastic edge on the off-the shoulder top fits nice and snug and stays put for long days out without riding up the shoulder.
