PRECIOUS MOMENTS + FREE PRINT
Lately I’ve been having a serious problem with storage space on my phone and I’m pretty sure it’s time to upgrade. I take so many pictures on a daily basis that it quickly maxes out and then I’m faced with sorting through everything and choosing what or what not to delete. Anyone else in this same scenario?
A second problem I have is that all those photos just stay on my phone or iCloud and I never end up doing anything with them. Since most of those pictures are of my kids, all of our precious moments together and fun experiences we share never make it out of the phone. Every once in a while I think that if anything every went wrong and I lost all those photos, I would be devastated to say the least. Can you image losing pictures of your baby’s first smile, first taste of food, first step and the list really never ends! That’s why when a few weeks ago I got invited to learn more about the Kodak Moments App and how easy it is to print photos right from your phone – I readily accepted the invitation.
With kids in tow, we had a fun morning at Henry’s flagship location learning how to use the new app, print right from the Kodak Instant Print Kiosk , and create fun gift ideas with our photos. We also got some great tips for improving the quality of our smartphone photography from Ren Bostelaar, Henry’s Spokesperson and Customer Experience Manager. The one tip I definitely took away from the event that I plan on trying out is using the built-in flash on your phone when it’s actually bright outside! I never would have thought to do this, but apparently when you use your flash in bright day-light, it actually does a good job to fill in shadows and balance the scene. Before the event, I selected about 25 photos of myself and the kids from my camera roll, put them into a new folder, and then when I was at Henry’s and connected to the kiosk, I selected my pre-created folder through the app and instantly all my images were prepped for print. I chose to create a photo book of all of my favorite family photos starting from the birth of both my babies. There are lots of options for designing the layout of each page such as colours and patterns, so it can be customized to your personal preferences. I am so happy I decided to make this book because since the event I’ve flipped through it quite a number of times and been reminded about all the precious moments we’ve shared as a family – something I rarely did when all the photos were buried in my phone.
Have you tried out the app yet? Well, to get out there and try the service, Kodak Alaris is offering my readers one free 8×10 print using the kiosk at Henry’s. Print the coupon below and bring with you to your nearest location to receive your print absolutely free! Before you go, make sure to download the Kodak Moments App here so you’re all ready to use the kiosk when you’re in-store. The coupon expires June 30, 2016 so be sure to get into Henry’s soon!
I would love to find out what you do with all of the photos you take on your phone. Do you print them? Store them somewhere safe? Please share :)
