Clothing c/o Deux Par Deux l Massimo: Shirt , Shorts , Bowtie l Gemma: Dress

With Spring styles rolling out in-stores and online, I can’t help but get excited for warmer weather to come.  Bright colours, playful prints and lighter fabrics have me itching to shed the layers and ready to embrace my favorite season of the year. The same story plays out when it comes to clothing for my children. After having been bundled up for months on end, the days of leaving the house with just one layer has some serious appeal.

I love finding unique and quality clothing for my kids that stands out from the masses, and after browsing the SS17 look book from Canadian children’s wear brand Deux par Deux, I knew I needed to outfit my kids in something from the collection. The fun floral prints and bright bold colours for girls, and drool-worthy dapper charm for boys instantly had my heart!

Deux par Deux is a Quebec-based brand designing one-of-a-kind children’s collections for almost 30 years. Their modern and timeless take on kids clothing, together with strong technical and aesthetic qualities puts them at the leading edge of children’s design.

I chose the sweetest little floral pleated dress from the Tapis Rouge Collection for my girl that just screams Spring time! The soft pleats and colourful print are so dainty and sweet, and most importantly the lightweight fabric is super comfortable for her to wear with lots of room for moving and running around in.

For my son we chose a look from the Cool Class Collection which perfectly describes my handsome little guy. We picked the dressy Bermuda shorts in a great bright blue colour and paired it with a classic piqué polo shirt. The knee length of the shorts add a sophisticated look, but with all the comfort of a cotton spandex blend fabric. I can equally see him dressed up for a special occasion in these shorts, or see them dressed down with a bold print tee. To finish the look we added the most adorable blue and white plaid bowtie which took the look from fab to fabulous in a matter of seconds.

Now that my kids are a little older I really wanted some professional pictures of them together, and the last time we had anything like this done was when each of them was born – and that goes back four years for my son and nearly two years for my daughter. So we met up with our favorite family photographer Memories by Marie for a Spring photo session and she was able to capture these darling pics of my two favorite people in the world in their adorable Deux par Deux outfits.
