SWEET MUM BOX REVIEW
Everyone loves to receive packages in the mail. And when you get a box by surprise, it’s even more exciting! I was very happy when the team at Sweet Mum Box approached me to review their Summer Time subscription box filled with goodies for mama and baby. What mom wouldn’t love to get a package full of products on a monthly basis that her and her little ones can really use? Here’s what was inside my box.
Hairclips: Little Miss Bows & Bands l Bib: Pink Pancake
These cute little hair clips for my baby girl will definitely be a great addition to her wardrobe, as yellow is my favorite colour! And this adorable little bandana bib with its plush, absorbent lining will be in heavy rotation once teething begins.
Stain Stick: The Laundry Tarts l All Purpose Cleaner: Spiffy Naturals
Natural cleaning products are always on my radar, so a natural stain remover stick and all purpose cleaner will get heavy use in my house where stain removal is a daily duty and surfaces constantly need sanitizing.
Sticker: The Good Mother Project
Some positive vibes…
Print: Love Lettering
A cute little print is always a good idea for a nursery or kids room to add some sentimental value.
Earrings: Sophia Tamar l Nail Polish: Mrs. P’s Potions
And mama deserves a little something too. Cute little earrings and natural nail-polish – perfect combo!
Healing Mix: Now For Mothers l Magazine: Alive
Already a fan of the Now For Mothers Healing Mix, a new package will come in handy to add to my smoothies and yogourt bowls. And a little natural lifestyle inspiration for my morning read with Alive magazine.
Ellie Ear Pillow: Acres of Memories
Loving this ear pillow to keep my baby’s head in a comfortable position in her carseat. For some reason baby’s heads always turn in the most awkard directions, so this will come in handy for sure.
Interested in learning a bit more about what Sweet Mum Box was all about, I interviewed the team via email and here is what they had to say.
1. What is Sweet Mum Box? Sweet Mum Box is a Canadian subscription box catering towards mums with small children. We focus on featuring the best of the best from across Canada to share with our sweet mums. With each box holding a handful of surprises for mum and babe, we also include a print, a magazine, and a couple bonus items for the whole family as well.
2. What inspired the Sweet Mum Box concept? As our maternity leave began, Jenna and I wanted something to keep us feeling connected to the outside world. We had knowledge of other great subscription boxes and the idea to create a mum box supporting local Canadian businesses really called to us. As first time mums we both quickly fell into a routine of caring for baby, dad and the home each day. Sweet Mum Box gave us a reason to get together as friends and share our work with mums all over North America.
3. Who is the team behind the boxes? Our team is a two woman show, Jenna Williams and Nicole Domso. Both mums of sweet little girls living in southern Alberta. We are a diverse team with a passion for handmade products and spreading the joys of motherhood. We are still fairly new at this with just over eleven months under our belt; however, this experience has been overwhelmingly heartwarming from day one. We set out to embrace motherhood in every way possible, and we have learnt so much along the way.
4. What criteria do you look for when selecting brand partners? When selecting our brand partners our team looks for a few key things. We specifically work with Canadian companies only. We love to see a company doing great things for the environment, whether this is using organic products, processes or packaging. Our favourite criteria of our partner search is finding items our mums will simply ENJOY.
5. How has Sweet Mum Box connected you to other local mothers and the community? We cannot tell you how amazing the mum community in the online world is. The ladies out there dedicating their days to sharing tips, tricks and advice for mums and mums-to-be is so wonderful. Our box is a really great way to begin your journey into motherhood, not only in receiving awesome products, but the local voice behind each purchase is heard, shared and seen by each mum via social media. We have connected with ladies purchasing boxes, as well as many, many stay at home mums wishing to collaborate to share their handmade items. With any business there are ups and downs, we would say with out a doubt the connection we make with the local community through our box is a defiant UP.
6. How do I order a box? The ordering process is extremely simple, our website was recently revamped by an amazing local graphic designer (Jessica Kakoske) making our ” SEND A BOX ” page user friendly for all cardholders and PayPal members. Visit www.SweetMumBox.com/Send-a-box/ to try it out.
* Thank you Sweet Mum Box for collaborating on this post. All opinions are my own.
