If you’ve been following along on Instagram you’ll know that our family was just in Orlando taking in the attractions and still trying to recoup from the two-day drive from Toronto to Florida – who’s idea was that anyways?

Well, we’ve finished up with all things Disney and finally arrived in The Palm Beaches for some much needed sand and surf. While the kids are crazy excited about hitting the beach and building sand castles, as much as I love the beach (and I do love the beach), I always dread the toll it takes on my hair. As someone who is very particular about having it “just so”, a day at the beach means frizz, tangles, and washing and styling it twice (yes I do my hair BEFORE the beach too).

This is a lot of time I DO NOT HAVE and I would much rather be spending it relaxing and enjoying time with the fam jam. So this time around I’m doing things differently. I left my full-size hair care bottles at home (freeing up so much space in my luggage) and packed only this travel set of AG TEXTURE products ($29.95) from Trade Secrets to help me embrace the beauty of my own natural waves – the perfectly imperfect way. Here’s a look at what’s inside:

DRY WAX: No matter what my hairstyle, I always give it a few spritz’s of hairspray to give me peace of mind that everything will stay in place. This finishing spray is just the final touch that a natural, beach wave look needs to ensure style longevity. It will tame those last few flyaway’s and add a textured, matte finish.

SEA SPRAY: Perfect beach waves are some serious hair goals, yet mine usually end up looking matted and stringy – definitely not the look I was going for. I have to admit this somewhat laid back, ‘undone’ approach to hair is pretty new to me. BUT,  the time it has saved me over the last few days has allowed me to take one last dip in the ocean, have one more drink at the beach (when I would have been rushing back to the hotel to do my hair), and most importantly build one last sandcastle with the kiddies.
